The miba is located in the heart of Barcelonaʼs main tourist district: calle Ciutat 7, a few metres from Plaza Sant Jaume. Is located in Ciutat Vella, a district of Barcelona numbered District 1.
The name means "old city" and refers to the oldest eighborhoods in the city of Barcelona. It is considered as the centre of the city.
